TraceLens — Evidence-First Website Investigator

An MCP app on the Model Context Protocol built by Saniya Rawal at the Fronthyre NitroStack × MCP To The Moon hackathon and deployed on NitroStack.

About this project

TraceLens is an evidence-first website investigation assistant that helps individuals understand the technical signals behind unfamiliar website domains. Users enter a domain and receive an organized investigation report containing available DNS records, domain information, and HTTPS/TLS certificate details. TraceLens presents findings through an interactive dashboard, with clear explanations, evidence sources, collection timestamps, and confidence limitations. Unlike tools that simply label websites as safe or dangerous, TraceLens focuses on transparency. It distinguishes verified observations from potential warning signs and explains what cannot be concluded from the available evidence. Built with the official NitroStack TypeScript SDK, TraceLens uses MCP tools to retrieve and analyze information and an interactive widget to make technical findings understandable. Our goal is to make basic website investigation more accessible, transparent, and useful for everyday internet users.
